A UK-based meat and poultry business came to Jacob White to introduce a better way of packaging small volumes of different products. The customer needed to create consistency and increase both speed of operations and efficiency across the board. They had the following requirements as a priority:

Our Solution

We visited site for our consultation process, where we were able to ascertain the exact needs of the client and gain a comprehensive view of their current set up. Understanding the company processes and procedures, we were able to quickly recommend our TFS NS carton sealing machine. These types of packaging machines are ideal for smaller production set ups and can offer a system that maintains operational and quality control with manual demand.

Operators erect the carton and insert the product manually. The boxed product is then automatically transferred via constantly moving flighted chains, sealed and discharged from the machine. The TFS NS carton sealing machine has a footprint of approximately 2m2 – ideal for the environment, with shafts and guards manufactured from Stainless Steel to ensure hygiene standards.

The End Result

The customer selected the TFS NS on our recommendation and were able to begin realising the benefits immediately. The heavy duty build of the machine in a small footprint was exactly what they needed, and the speed and size variations enabled easy changeover with no parts involved.

Operators were able, with minimum training, to alter size within minutes, which offered the client greater flexibility to operate short run production lines for a wide variety of products.
