Jacob White Packaging Success at Tissue World Milan 2019
Jacob White are celebrating a successful showcase of their revolutionary packaging machines at Tissue World Milan. The three-day Tissue World Milan event is the largest dedicated tissue industry trade show and this year saw more than 3,000 industry professionals. The Jacob White stand was consistently busy, and we attracted record interest in both our existing catalogue and our new, forthcoming innovation.
The event saw a great opportunity to talk to our peers and customers about our latest tissue packing machine which is eagerly awaited by all! The latest in our world-renowned catalogue, the new machine will deliver a cost-speed balance that is currently unmatched in the industry. Jacob White’s revolutionary new machine is the fastest and most sensitive tissue-only cartoning machine in its price range and will handle delicate tissue products with precision and speed – consistently and gently.
Smart and Sustainable Packaging
The theme for this years’ event was ‘Smart and Sustainable Solutions.’ Keynote speakers discussed the changing marketplace and looked at issues such as overproduction and quality versus cost. With high pressure within the tissue industry from competition, quality and design are high priorities, but cost is a key factor. While it remains tough for production lines to compromise on production operational cost, key savings can be made by looking at other factors, such as energy reduction.
The speakers see regulatory conditions increasing over the next decade, and some see the role of the European Tissue Symposium (ETS) enlarging to support its increasing number of member companies.
We felt that this theme was particularly pertinent to our offering as we focus on recycled board solutions, an area that we are already being approached about by our customers as they search for alternatives to plastics in the tissue industry.
Our automated packaging machines also create a highly efficient production line that creates economies of scale, reducing staffing costs (including associated heating and lighting) and the faster turnaround can positively impact storage requirements. We are proud to be helping our many customers all over the world to improve both their bottom line and their environmental impact.
