The latest in tissue packaging technology from Jacob White promises to take the sector to a new level this year. The HS-T 6 is a high-speed automatic cartoner designed to streamline every part of the packaging process for tissue producers around the world, including compliance.

Global growth is being driven by huge increases in the use of paper hygiene products, not just by consumers, but across many industry sectors as regulations rise alongside personal hygiene habits. In today’s marketplace, seeing soaring demand on one hand and bulging requirements and regulations on the other, there has never been a better time to streamline and strengthen the efficiency of operations.

As packaging machine experts with more than 100 years of experience, we’ve put everything into the design and development of the latest machine, which ticks vital boxes for future-proofing the packaging line and protecting the workforce. Let’s take a closer look at how tissue packaging is evolving.

About the HS-T 6 tissue packaging machine

The HS-T 6 gives full automation to the tissue packaging line. From the very start, cartons are handled automatically, erected by a 5-arm rotary system and placed onto moving, flighted carton chains.

This machine has been designed to give full product control at the loading point and uses linear sliding product buckets. Cartons are sealed by a hot glue jet applicator, automatically closed and discharged via transmission chains and carton lugs.

HS-T 6 is fully surrounded and protected by clear Perspex guard panels, which are hinged to enhance removability. This streamlines quality control and ensures fast and easy access for routine maintenance and cleaning.

How full automation streamlines and increases efficiency

With demand increasing across the hygiene products sector, pressure is on the production and packaging lines to increase output to match. However, while this presents an opportunity, the challenges in terms of protecting the workforce and complying with the latest regulatory changes can stand in the way for many producers.

Automation is providing the answer for the tissue industry and many other hygiene and pharma sectors. The hands-free approach means that both product and workforce is protected, and the potential to increase output gives the business the efficiency it needs to meet demand.
